Our Story

I renewed my connection to Belfast around a decade ago when I decided to leave the countryside, where I had dwelled for quite a few years, and moved back to my birthplace.

There's a lot to love about Belfast and Northern Ireland in general, and living/working in Belfast has unquestionably helped me appreciate this wonderful, characterful and very modest city.

Remembering all the great things about where you were born and raised, including specific landmarks that we all tend to take for granted, can help you form a new appreciation of 'home'. And this is where PAPERCROWN NI enters the conversation! I combined my love of paper goods and specifically notebooks, with my artistic flair and decided to create design-led stationery (and art) to celebrate everything that is special and unique about 'our wee country'.

Northern Ireland Landmarks mug, proudly designed and printed in NI, sitting alongside a wirebound notebook with a map of Northern Ireland (includes stickers!).

I use modern design to reinforce our sense of identity, bring relevancy to our NI historical landmarks and help to renew our connections to the place we call home.

At the minute my designs are incorporated into many handmade hardback/soft cover notebooks, greetings cards, pin badges, a mug design and art prints. I'm proud to say that all of the notebooks are made by me in Belfast, which includes traditional bookbinding techniques and gold foiled printing.

There is an incredible level of authenticity when producing a notebook that features original drawings of our beloved Belfast landmarks; which has been handmade in the same city. Especially if you are purchasing this as a gift for a loved one who has moved away from home; or a thoughtful gesture for a client.

It's also very important to me that I create designs and products that help promote a positive mindset, whether it's a pop art inspired print of Harland & Wolff, an empowering illustration of the Beacon of Hope (Nuala with the Hula), or an uplifting illustration of our Belfast icons on a card.

PAPERCROWN NI will donate 10% net profit of each product sold to a chosen Northern Ireland charity (to be decided).

This means every single purchase you make has the ability to contribute to REAL change for the people of Northern Ireland.
